The goal was to transition the management of VA benefit overpayments (e.g., disability, education) and medical copay debts from a cumbersome, siloed, and confusing legacy system to a transparent, centralized, and self-service digital platform on VA.gov.

My first challenge at Pear Therapeutics was addressing a major company priority: solving the high drop-off rate during onboarding. With three distinct prescription therapeutics (OUD, SUD, and Chronic Insomnia) and more in the pipeline, we needed a scalable solution. How might we create a modular onboarding experience that works across all conditions to increase engagement and improve clinical outcomes?
