Background
Expertise Driving my Work
I’m trained in evidence-based clinical psychology with a concentration in global mental health and trauma. This lens strongly influences my craft as a UX researcher.
I’m bilingual in English and French, and proficient in Spanish.
Noteworthy Professional Experience
My 8 years of experience is rooted in driving measurable strategy within high-complexity, high-growth domains. This expertise positions me exceptionally well for roles in emerging tech, civic tech, health tech, sustainability, and financial tech. If you're hiring in one of these sectors, I would love to hear from you.
Civic Technology
Most recently, as Lead UX Researcher while a contractor at VA.gov, I consistently led from a human-centered design lens and affected real change, including:
Spearheading the first accessibility testing program for my immediate UX team: interviewing Veterans who are blind or low vision and use screen reader devices (i.e.: VoiceOver, Jaws) in every study: providing the team and V.A. stakeholders with real evidence of the platform’s level of accessibility from the perspective of Veterans themselves.
Mentoring the team in stronger ethics-based and trauma-informed practices:
Developing a safety protocol for challenging interviews with Veterans
Developing stronger interview standards versed in trauma-informed principles
Leading canary tests within the live production environment to ensure stability of the platform in real time
Cross-Functional Leadership: Acted as the research translator between engineering, policy, and design teams to launch accessible, Veteran-centered solutions that also met stakeholder requirements.
Quantifying the results of platform feature changes or additions through tracking KPIs
Augmenting qualitative analysis of usability studies with AI tools
Health Technology
Driving meaningful change in the Prescription Digital Therapeutics (PDTs) market towards more personalized and clinically effective solutions for individuals managing substance use disorders, chronic insomnia, or other mental health challenges.
Infusing more prominently the voice of women along their journey of conception, pregnancy, and postpartum at Wildflower Health, a company that crafts educational and practical wellness apps for women in the B2B2C market.
Other notable experiences include coaching clients with health challenges at Vida Health, creating a mental health resource website for a nonprofit serving people who have disabilities, coaching at-risk youth on behavior at a High School, counseling people with addictions as an intern at a treatment center, learning advocacy tools for mental health with psychologists at the United Nations, and more.

"Charlotte consistently demonstrated the work ethic, expertise, and dedication that government digital services require."
“Any organization within or outside of government would be fortunate to have her join their team. She made ours better and will inevitably do the same for yours. What set Charlotte apart was her commitment to quality and standards. She ensured every design met VA requirements for accessibility, design consistency, and plain language content. This discipline translated into real value not just for the Veteran experience, but for VA as an organization: fewer bugs, reduced post-launch fixes, and significant time and cost savings for our teams.
Beyond technical skills, Charlotte brought genuine care for the Veteran community to every project. She understood that behind every UX and UI design decision was a Veteran seeking support or services. This empathy, combined with strong leadership and collaborative spirit, made her an invaluable team member who elevated everyone around her.”

“Charlotte is everything you’d want in a UX Researcher. "
We partnered on multiple high-priority initiatives at Pear Therapeutics so I’ve had the opportunity to work with her on a day-to-day basis. On those projects, she’s shown her versatility by running all aspects of user research - from explaining how a research study can help solve business problems to recruiting a diverse set of participants to flawless execution of the study to synthesizing findings in an easy to digest format. In fact, she’s presented those findings to key stakeholders at the VP and C levels that helped get buy-in for key initiatives.

“I was consistently impressed with her ability to lead user research sessions with a very diverse set of people struggling with chronic diseases."
“I was consistently impressed with her ability to lead user research sessions with a very diverse set of people struggling with chronic diseases. Testing hypotheses and driving insights with patients who are struggling with serious mental and behavioral health conditions is extremely tough to navigate and Charlotte did it with professionalism and empathy.” “She was able to drive insights both at the disease-specific level as well as generalize to a platform level. Personally, it would be a privilege to work with Charlotte again and I hope I get the chance, in the meantime, any digital health organization would be lucky to work with her.”
